VIOLET APHRODITE

Violet Aphrodite (5:47) directed & edited by Indira Cesarine stars Stef Van Der Laan from IMG models. The film merges fashion and video art while it takes us through a poetic journey of Aphrodite’s universe to be crowned the most beautiful goddess. Featuring music by Moby, hair & makeup by Bernadine Bibiano, cinematography by Indira Cesarine and styling by Fashion Editor Thea Lewis.

THE DAUGHTERS OF THE BLACK DAHLIA

The Daughters of Black Dahlia (3:46) is the unofficial music video for the song “My Black Dahlia” by Hollywood Undead. Director Patrik Andersson explores the grand themes of life, death and transition in his fast-cut creation myth. Merging fashion & music video to a high-art level, it stars models Aleksandra Martynku, Mariah Bonner, Marta Morilla, Mikaela, Olga A, Valentina, Valeria Lenova, Adrienne Smith & Megan Lee Farrell.  Styled by Fashion Editor Jenke-Ahmed Tailly.

WOMAN WALKING 1

Woman Walking 1 (2:53)is a conceptual fashion film directed & produced by Menelaou & Rueberg.  Starring Barbara Morsboel it is edited by Jamie Bull and features hair & wigs by the brilliantly creative Charlie le Mindu. Music created by Philippos N.

TURNCOAT

Turncoat (3:00) directed & edited by David Evan Bowers and Justin Parker, is a conceptual vignette that looks into the subconscious of a deserting soldier and a past, forbidden love that haunts his every thought. As he carries his baggage in the form of a parachute, the visions become more intrusive and intimate until the soldier must finally succumb to the feelings of his heart rather then questioning what is physically real. Featuring actors Clint Snow and Jennifer Chen.

SUBLIMINAL REALITY

Subliminal Reality (1:21) is an animated photographic series, featuring the photography of Patricio Guillamon with motion graphics by Jesus of Noition Artes. The images feature Francesca Fiorentini and the artist in an expression of the possibility of everyday transformation. The artist  presents a juxtaposition of the imaginary and the real, creating parallel worlds of our unique imagination.  Multimedia creative direction by Indira Cesarine with music by Hanschenklein.

LIVE ART! No 1

Live Art! No 1 (2:28) is the first in a 3 part performance art series directed by Indira Cesarine. It stars model Taylor Bagley as she becomes part of a contemporary art painting as it is created, thus merging fantasy and reality into one expression. Featuring paintings by Deborah Freedman, body makeup by Bernadine Bibiano & music by Daniel Freedman.

COCOON

Cocoon (2:15) is an animation multimedia film created by Bo Sul Kim with music by Thadeus Frazier Reed. It is a metaphorical piece about personal growth, breaking free from stereo types and social programming to create your own values, thoughts and beliefs thus breaking out of the cocoon without fear.

WOMAN WALKING 2

Woman Walking 2 (3:04) is the second in the series of conceptual fashion films directed & produced by Menelaou & Rueberg.  Starring Barbara Morsboel, this fllm features clothing by Christina K. Edited by Jamie Bull, with music by Philippos N.

ULTRA VIOLET THEN AND NOW

Ultra Violet Then and Now (16:00) was directed by Indira Cesarine. The iconic actress, artist & muse, Ultra Violet, talks about her artistic inspirations, her recent work & her history as the muse to Salvador Dali and Andy Warhol. A member of the Factory gang, Ultra Violet’s fame rose in the 60′s after appearances in cult films by Andy Warhol and Midnight Cowboy. Her book about her experiences at the Factory, “Famous for 15 Minutes, My Years With Andy Warhol”, became a best seller. Now she is a working contemporary artist with a highly spiritual inspiration. Interviewed by Gary V. Krimershmoys, with editing by John Paul Zuviate and Elizabeth Jones.

AMBIENT ENERGY

Ambient Energy (5:26) directed by Indira Cesarine, explores a surrealist landscape of fashion inspired by Pierrot. As if in a snowglobe encompassed in their own dreamlike world their hypnotic movements entrance. Starring models Solange Wilvert & Nina De Raadt, with cinematography by Indira Cesarine, video edit by Bernice Gonzalez and music “The Show End” by Chuckie Steel. Styling by Fashion Editor Thea Lewis.

CONEY ISLAND OF THE MIND

Coney Island of the Mind (2:59), a fashion film juxtaposing the raw character of Coney Island with the allure of beauty, was directed by Jordan Doner. Starring models Inessa Bakutova, Clementine Stevens, Jatya Polyaeva, Yulia Vasiltsova, Klara Urbanova and Anita Hodis with an original soundtrack created by Rama Kolesnikow. Edited by David Garvey with an XXXX remix by Elisabeth Jones. Styled by Jules Wood.

SELF PORTRAIT

Self Portrait (00:36) is an animated series created by artist and musician Benjamin Marlowe.

PUNK

Punk (1:16) directed by Indira Cesarine & starring Anna Lundgaard, explores the energy and spirit of the punk generation in a hypersonic edit by Don Frasco. Make up by Roberto Morelli with hair by Anja Grassegger. Features clothing by British designer Ashish.

HOPE AND FATE

Hope and Fate (2:56) directed and edited by Monika Elkelv is a surreal fashion film featuring Manuel Albarran’s Surrealist Metal Couture Collection. Featuring model Jessica Piani, with styling by Sergio Crevillen & music by Joel Cahen.

REMEMBERING MCQUEEN

Remembering McQueen (4:49) features original illustrations by Ann DeVito inspired by the late fashion designer Alexander McQueen‘s work. The multimedia presentation is juxtaposed with quotes from a variety of McQueen’s contemporaries regarding his life and how they look back at his inspirational designs. Animated by Jesus of Noition Artes and Emilie Ye Ji Koo. Music “London’s Finest” by Chuckie Steel.

THE SPELL

The Spell (2:08) directed by Indira Cesarine & Phantasmic TV, takes you through a visual journey of Surrealist inspiration, as two heavenly muses are caught in a web of otherworldly desires, left entangled in their dreams. The video art film features models Beata Grabowska & Jessica Bertoncello, with make up by Bernadine Bibiano and hair by Rutger.  Photography by Indira Cesarine, Cinematography by Phantasmic TV, Edited by Phatasmic TV with creative direction and production by Indira Cesarine.

OUROBOROS

Ouroboros (3:45) directed by Surealphobia, features interviews with Ali Hossaini and Blake Shaw of Sweatshoppe regarding their Ouroboros installation.  “Ouroboros” is an attempt to bring unification to the mind, body and world, all of which have been torn to fragments by modern science, industry, and art. According to artist Hossaini, it is about science, art and religion working together. ”Art cannot be science, but it can convey the sense of wonder that drives scientists.”

WISH YOU WERE HERE

The classic love story takes a surreal twist in Wish You Were Here (7:17), Directed by Michael Daks. The fashion film is features Christopher J, Jude & Anton Ostrovsky. The Director of Photography is Tony Wade, editing by Anton Ostrovsky with an XXXX remix by Elizabeth Jones . Original Music by Brett Hammond, Hair & Make-up by Amber Sibley with styling by Maria Bonet.

A WALK ON THE WILD SIDE WITH TIZIANO MAZZILLI

In A Walk On The Wild Side With Tiziano Mazzilli (11:20), Fashion designer extraordinaire Tiziano Mazzilli takes XXXX Magazine, “The Untitled Magazine”’s Creative Director, Indira Cesarine, on a tour of his living art installation in Soho, New York.  Over the years he has collected a diverse array of contemporary art juxtaposed with his fashion creations, which he presents as a living installation. Edited by John Paul Zuviate with cinematography by Indira Cesarine.

LIVE ART! NO 2

Live Art! No 2 (3:40) is the second in a 3 part performance art series directed by Indira Cesarine. It stars model Sharan Bala as she becomes part of a contemporary art painting as it is created, thus merging fantasy and reality into one expression. Featuring paintings by Deborah Freedman, body makeup by Bernadine Bibiano & music by Daniel Freedman.

PSYCHO BARBIE

Directed by Indira Cesarine, Psycho Barbie (0:56), is a fashion / video art film that takes a satyrical look at the stereotypes of glamour. Starring model Aleksandra Martynyuk, the film presents a surreal irony inspired the iconic looks of “Stepford Wives”. Styling by Fashion Editor Thea Lewis, with Hair & Makeup by Bernadine Bibiano, Cinematography by Indira Cesarine, edited by Elizabeth Jones with music by Hanschenklein.

PHONOGRAPHERS UNION

Phonographer’s Union (5:52) features The New England Phonographer’s Union which is a collective of sound artists that use unprocessed field recordings as raw material for improvised compositions. Directors Chris Bravo and Lindsey Schneider followed members of the Union through their process of recording and assembling sounds into music to present this documentary short for The Surreal Issue of XXXX Magazine, “The Untitled Magazine”.

NUNSENSE

Nunsense (1:17) features the fine art photography of Shannon Taggert. Her images of nuns living in a convent frolicking about conveys an rather unexpected reality. Accompanied by music “Ana” By Moby, the multimedia version of the photographic series was produced by XXXX Magazine, “The Untitled Magazine” in collaboration with the artist.

RUINS OF STASIS

Ruins Of Stasis (3:00) is a fashion / video art film created by Sophia Deninger featuring Anastasia Koveli.  She creates a surreal vision that explores femininity with organic dreamlike visual references.

THE FACE

The Face (2:17) is an experiment in motion painting using texture and color as prominent elements combined with expressions of dreams and self reflection. This film was created by John Paul Zuviate with music by Worst Friends.

LIVE ART! NO 3

Live Art! No 3 (4:21) is the third in a 3 part performance art series directed by Indira Cesarine. It stars model Mey Bun as she becomes part of a contemporary art painting as it is created, thus merging fantasy and reality into one expression. Featuring paintings by Deborah Freedman, body makeup by Bernadine Bibiano & music by Daniel Freedman.

POP

The video art / beauty film Pop (1:32) was directed by Indira Cesarine and stars model Lucia Tresova. Indira collaborated with makeup artist Roberto Morelli and hairstylist Anja Grassegger to create beauty looks inspired by the fusion of Pop and Graffiti Art. Clothing by American Apparel. Film edit by Don Frasco with music by Chuckie Steel.

ELISA SIGHICELLI – VIDEO ART

Acclaimed artist Elisa Sighicelli shares with XXXX Magazine, “The Untitled Magazine” a selection of her video art works. Based in Turin, Italy, she has exhibited her works at many prestigious museums and galleries including the Gagosian Gallery. In her work, images are revealed through light; darkness transforms reality and allows the image to be open and suggestive. Works presented include: Untitled (The Party is Over), 2009; Dance-Bound, 2007; Non-Stop Exotic Cabaret, 2007 and Nocturne (Left Bank), 2006. (5:47).

BEHIND THE SCENES ON THE SPELL

A behind the scenes look at the making of video art film The Spell as well as XXXX Magazine, “The Untitled Magazine”’s  Surreal Issue Cover art.  Directed by Indira Cesarine and edited by John Paul Zuviate, this 6 minute short presents the inspiration behind the visuals in these productions, as well as a behind the scenes look on set during the shoot. The Spell was directed by Indira Cesarine & Phantasmic TV, featuring models Beata Grabowska & Jessica Bertoncello, with makeup by Bernadine Bibiano and hair by Rutger. (6:09)

This behind the scenes look at the making of the Live Art! series was edited by Scott Peehl. It features interviews with models Taylor Bagley, Sharan Bala and Mey Bun as well as artist Deborah Freedman, Director Indira Cesarine and Make up artist Bernadine Bibiano. (8:00)
