This portfolio features a selection of editorial fashion productions for Harper’s Bazaar Magazine from my archives. Most of these shoots were published in Harper’s Bazaar Italia, as well as re-published in other foreign editions of the magazine. There are also a few stories for Greek Harper’s Bazaar in the mix. I worked for Harper’s Bazaar Italia in Milan, as well as shot for them quite often in New York. The magazine had their own photo studio at their headquarters in Milan, where they did most of their shoots. I shot the punk story “Bad Girls” as well as the fashion stories “Stiletuto”, “Ombre Cinesi” and several others at their studio. From my New York studio, I produced numerous shoots for the title, overseeing all the casting and production on behalf of the magazine. I was responsible for the creative direction for the shoots I did for them in New York, and I commissioned a team to work with me for styling, hair and makeup. Most of these shoots were published in the late 90’s, before Harper’s Bazaar Italia stopped printing. The Greek Harper’s Bazaar shoots were produced a few years later with the same stylist that I worked with in New York for the Italian edition, Irene Vass. We shot those on location in Miami as well as in New York City’s Central Park. All of these images were photographed on a medium format Mamiya RZ 6 x 7 film camera. I personally hand printed the majority of the c-prints that were published in the magazines.
