The personification of lust, one of the seven deadly sins, was the inspiration behind this series of works, which were part of a photography and video series titled “Second Circle” by Indira Cesarine, inspired by the 14th century book Dante’s Inferno which detailed Dante’s journey through the nine circles of hell. The video version of the series, “Second Circle” premiered at the La Jolla Fashion Film Festival at The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego on July 27, 2012. The photographs from this series were captured in 2012, edited and created as a limited edition in 2017.
