Indira Cesarine has become known for her empowering exhibitions and curatorial work. Since founding The Untitled Space gallery in 2015, Cesarine has curated over 100 exhibitions and has presented artwork by more than 600 artists. She has partnered with a number of charitable foundations including The Watermill Center Foundation, ERA Coalition, Women’s Fund For Equality, ARTWALK NY benefiting the Coalition for the Homeless, She Should Run, SaveArtSpace, and Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation among many others, raising funds for their causes via exhibitions, benefit art auctions, as well as a number of other fundraising initiatives. Cesarine’s curatorial program for The Untitled Space gallery in Tribeca, NY includes solo shows for artists Sarah Maple, Jessica Lichtenstein, Alison Jackson, Fahren Feingold, Rebecca Leveille, Kat Toronto aka Miss Meatface, Jeanette Hayes, Giulia Grillo aka Petite Doll, Katie Commodore, Meg Lionel Murphy, Helena Calmfors, Nichole Washington, Philip Robinson Jr., Grace Graupe-Pillard and Robin Tewes, among many other notable artists. She has curated numerous celebrated group shows including “UPRISE 2025: The Art of Resistance,” “BODY BEAUTIFUL,” “UNRAVELED: Confronting The Fabric Of Textile Art,” “IRL: Investigating Reality,” “EDEN” and “(HOTEL) XX” at SPRING/BREAK Art Show; ”SECRET GARDEN,” “SHE INSPIRES,” “UPRISE/ANGRY WOMEN,” and “ONE YEAR OF RESISTANCE” as well as numerous other critically-acclaimed exhibitions.
Her exhibitions have been featured internationally in many publications including American Vogue, Vogue Italia, Forbes, Newsweek, W Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, CNN, New York Magazine, Dazed and Confused, i-D Magazine, and The Huffington Post among many others. In 2019 Cesarine launched Art4Equality, a non-profit initiative supporting equality-themed art exhibitions and special projects including films and public art. Notable projects of Art4Equality include “Future Vision” and the “Art4Equality x Life, Liberty & The Pursuit of Happiness” public art billboard series with SaveArtSpace which was presented along with a gallery group show of over 50 artists at The Untitled Space. In 2021, she acted as a curatorial advisor and director of strategy for Tethys Art in Southampton, NY. Additional curatorial projects include partnering with The Watermill Center for their fundraising exhibition in 2019, and curating experiences for a number of private clients and brands. She continues to actively curate exhibitions, special projects, as well as provide art consulting services for clients.
