“INNOVATE” (2021) by Indira Cesarine is a mixed media neon sculpture inspired by the theme of innovation. The artist created a resin sculpture of her own hand which is wrapped in turquoise glass neon spirals, each hand bent by Cesarine. The sculpture sheds light metaphorically on the power of human innovation, and was created for the “INNOVATE” exhibition at The Untitled Space in 2021, presented in collaboration with The Untitled Magazine’s “INNOVATE” Collector’s Print Edition.
