Intaglio printmaking has been an important part of Cesarine’s artistic practice since she first started creating. Some of her earliest etchings date back to her high school days when she started studying intaglio etching as well as screen printing and other forms of printmaking. Her more recent works often feature vibrant inks in hues of pink, orange, and red. Her etchings are inspired by women’s history and the female gaze, often taking as inspiration historical figures from mythology, philosophy, media, and literature.
